The CEMFITT stem has a distal lodging, where a centralizer is inserted. This way, a uniform cement layer is obtained. The centralizer is manufactured in three different sizes, according to the size of the stem implanted.
The CEMFITT cemented stem has the same geometrical characteristics than the EUROFITT II stem. Distal conical zone, medial and lateral widening in the proximal zone, and calcar support collar.
In order to avoid the cement's fragmentation, it is manufactured with a polished surface that presents low superficial roughness. This avoids the abrasion of the cement as well as the appearance of punctual stresses in it.
